"This place is like made of marble coated in lead and then wrapped in steel. There are serious issues with mobile internet in here....which is a good thing, I guess. Get in and be in the moment. Talk to your friends and/or family, not your screen. My first time here. Nice food, attentive staff, good company. Gotta love the fattoush and the tasting plates!"

"i have been more times to this restaurant than any other in Sydney. Yes the staff are attentive the place is huge and u can choose to sit outside on the verandah or inside. As for the food if your going with a big group get the banquet especially if it's with men u get plenty of food and includes soft drinks. Now my favourites are definetly the garlic lemon chicken this is to die for and the lamb,chicken and kofta skewers and the fattoush of course you must get the garlic dip to have with your pitta read. For dessert try the mahalebi or the gelati and for drinks ladies try the mint cocktail . Hope this helps I recommend it as the best in town. Mary t"

"A couple of my old Middle East tour leader colleagues got together decided that a catch up was necessary, and what better place than the "original" Al Aseel. We're no fools, we know our fool from our fateh, and our fattoush from our tabbouleh. Fast forward to half way through our feast, and my mind was unsure if I was back in the Middle East. Apart from a few minor details, Al Aseel is a pretty bang on version of a solid Arabic restaurant you'd find in the Middle East. A big room, lots of tables, lots of plates, too many waiters, colourful food and juices flying everywhere, pickles, bread bowls, heated family discussions, people rushing everywhere. I was loving it. The food was great, and reasonably priced. We ordered everything, and did a solid job of polishing it all off. Everything was fresh and tasty. Thankfully, it was cheaper than the Al Aseel you'll find in the Inner West. If you have an open mind, and want to give something different a try, head out to Greenacre and embrace the chaos! Work on your bread-as-cutlery skills, and stuff yourself with an amazing Middle Eastern feast!"
